The Power of Grassroots Advocacy
From the Ground Up
Grassroots advocacy has deep roots in American democracy. The term itself dates back to the early 1900s, describing movements that began not in Washington, but in the soil of local communities—ordinary citizens demanding change from the bottom up.
At Combat Veterans of America, we carry that same tradition forward. Our grassroots network empowers veterans and their families to engage directly with lawmakers, shape public policy, and defend the benefits they’ve earned. Whether advocating for healthcare reform, accountability at the VA, or expanded access to education and transition resources, we believe the most effective change begins with the people most affected.
