Why Marianeth Chose to Serve

When asked why she felt called to step into the role of Director of Legislative Affairs, Marianeth’s answer was clear and deeply aligned with CVA’s mission:

“I want to serve as Director of Legislative Affairs because I believe veteran voices—especially women veteran voices—must be at the forefront of shaping the policies that affect us most. My background as a U.S. Navy veteran, strategist, and creative leader has shown me how systems, messaging, and leadership structure directly influence real-world outcomes. I see this role as an opportunity to bridge strategy with service—to ensure our advocacy is not only heard but also executed effectively. My goal is to help CVA translate passion into policy, build collaborative influence, and strengthen the framework that supports all who have served.”

Marianeth steps into this position with a commitment to elevate the stories, needs, and perspectives that too often go unheard—transforming insight into actionable change.

A Visionary and Architect of Impact

A visionary, warrior, and architect, Marianeth is a leader who thrives at the intersection of imagination, innovation, and problem-solving. Her mission is simple yet profound: to build resilient people, businesses, and communities through human-centered approaches that create meaning and drive transformation.

With deep expertise in brand architecture, experiential design, and strategic development, she leverages design thinking and behavioral intelligence to help organizations grow sustainably while staying aligned with human needs.

Her approach is bold, compassionate, and grounded in intentionality—and CVA is honored to welcome such a dynamic force to our team.

A Journey Built on Creativity, Courage, and Global Perspective

Marianeth’s path began in the maker’s space, where craftsmanship shaped her early understanding of creativity and discipline. As a first-generation college graduate, she went on to earn a B.A. in Advertising in Chicago and an M.B.A. in Design Strategy in San Francisco. These experiences equipped her with a dual-language fluency: equal parts creative and analytical, artistic and operational.

Along the way, she founded a commercial design studio, engaged deeply with the Chamber of Commerce, and cultivated a passion for business growth and community development. Born abroad and traveled to 27 countries, she credits her global perspective as the root of her ability to connect ideas, cultures, and systems with empathy and clarity.

Her specialties include:

  • Human-Centered Innovation

  • Defense × Design Thinking

  • Operational Infrastructure & Strategy

  • Brand & Experience Architecture

  • High-Level Business Concept Development

  • Strategic Positioning & Market Differentiation

  • Digital, Experiential & Spatial Design

  • Culture, Leadership & Relationship Building

This rare combination of skills will play a vital role in strengthening CVA’s impact at the legislative level.

Military Service That Forged a Leader

Before becoming a strategist and creative visionary, Marianeth served as a U.S. Navy Aircrewman-Loadmaster on C-130 aircraft, flying tactical logistics missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. She later worked in Operations and as a Public Affairs Officer—merging mission planning, aerospace coordination, and communications to support high-stakes missions.
