TERRE HAUTE, IN, February 19, 2026 — Combat Veterans of America, Inc., a registered 501(c)19 nonprofit corporation, today announced the appointment of combat veteran and defense industry executive Jon Williams to its National Command Council and Board of Directors.

Jon Williams is a retired United States Marine who served combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. During his military career, he held leadership and operational roles including Marksmanship and Close Quarters Battle Instructor, K9 Handler and Trainer, Amphibious Raider, PSD Vehicle Commander, and Special Operations Platoon Leader. His service established a foundation in disciplined leadership, mission execution, and decision making in complex operational environments.

Following his military retirement in 2013, Jon transitioned into the defense industry, where he served for nearly eleven years as Director of Business Development at Stonehold. In that role, he led large scale defense material procurement initiatives, executed multimillion dollar transactions, and managed extensive domestic and international networks. He developed and maintained strategic business relationships while delivering measurable revenue growth.

Jon also worked within the Microsoft ecosystem, supporting business operations connected to Xbox, Bing, Mixer, Microsoft Stores, and 343 Industries.

This experience broadened his exposure to global technology operations and cross functional leadership across both consumer and enterprise sectors. In addition, he served in executive leadership positions in the motorsports industry, including chief executive roles with Formula Drift P1 and the American Rally Association, overseeing high performance organizations operating in competitive and sponsor driven environments.

Drawing on his combined experience in military operations, defense procurement, technology, and executive leadership, Jon founded Weapons Aerospace and Research Inc., also known as WAR Inc. Through this platform, he works with domestic and international partners, including stakeholders aligned with INDOPACOM, AFRICOM, the European Union, and NATO, advancing defense manufacturing, research, development, test, and evaluation initiatives in support of United States and allied interests.

CVOA’s mission to advocate for combat veterans and strengthen the warfighter community is reinforced by Jon’s operational experience and strategic leadership within the defense sector.
